Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and an apparatus for switching a display mode of a screen of a terminal device, and a terminal device, which can better improve accuracy of switching a display mode of a screen. In the method for switching a display mode of a screen of a terminal device provided in the embodiments of the present invention, an eye position of a user is identified by using a front-facing camera of the terminal device, an eye viewing orientation is determined according to the identified eye position; an angle between the eye viewing orientation and a current display reference orientation of a screen of the terminal device is determined, where the current display reference orientation of the screen of the terminal device refers to a display orientation of content of the screen in a current display mode of the screen; and it is determined, according to the angle, whether the display mode of the screen needs to be switched. |
