An assembly according to some embodiments of the disclosure includes a punch (26) and a clamping assembly (20). The punch (26) includes a body having a front end (65) and a rear end (67). The front end (65) has a cutting edge (66). A passageway (68) extends through the body and a counterbore (73) is provided proximate to a second end of the body. The clamping assembly (20) includes first and second jaws (70,70') pivotally attached to each other. Each jaw (70,70') includes a main body (82) having a nose (97,97') extending from a front surface (92) thereof. The nose (97,97') has an outer surface (97a,97'a) which has a diameter which is smaller than the outer diameter of the main portion of the body (95,95'). When the clamping assembly (20) is mated with the punch (26), the noses (97,97') seat within the counterbore (73), and the front surfaces (100) of the main bodies (95,95') engage against the rear end (67) of the body of the punch (26). |
