PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step cleaning device having an enough cleaning capability for a dirt on the side surface of a groove of a step and a liquid dirt such as a machine oil stained in the groove as well, reducing in size and weight to clean both sides of the top face part of the step, and also providing a cleaning body itself at a low cost.SOLUTION: A step cleaning device includes: a cleaning body cartridge 3 including a plurality of cleaning bodies 2 supported in parallel to fit to a groove 15 of a step 14 provided on a passenger conveyer and respectively formed of disk-like or windmill-like nonwoven fabric; a holder 4 for holding the cleaning body cartridge 3; a frame 5 for holding the holder 4; pressing means 6 for applying the pressing force to the holder 4 in the direction of the groove 15; and one or a plurality of hinge mechanisms 7 for holding the holder 4 on the frame 5. The cleaning body cartridge 3 includes one or more pairs of shafts 21 for supporting in parallel the plurality of cleaning bodies 2; and hole parts 22 formed in one or more pairs on the cleaning body 2, into which the shafts 21 are respectively inserted. |
