PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually and easily calculate and use a rainfall amount with practical accuracy in a small region or a place without requiring complicated arithmetic processing concerning a rainfall amount calculation device for calculating a rainfall amount by using information on rainfall intensity to be observed by a rainfall radar.SOLUTION: On the basis of an actual condition where it is inevitable that an error from actual observation is included in rainfall intensity data Rto be observed by a rainfall radar, rainfall intensity data R-Robserved by a rainfall radar by fixed period (e.g. for each five minute) is acquired for a fixed time (e.g. one hour) and preserved. Preserved each piece of rainfall intensity data R-Ris re-preserved as rainfall intensity conversion data R'-R' that are obtained by converting the former preserved data into conversion values (range center values: an embodiment 1) predetermined in response to rainfall ranges where each one of former preserved values is included. Then, the total sum of rainfall intensity conversion data R'-R' is divided by the number of data acquisition times (n=12) to calculate a total rainfall amount Rper fixed time. |
