PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel smokeless flux for hot-dip zinc plating that may achieve a plating quality comparable to a conventional flux for the hot-dip zinc plating using NHCl and that may inhibit a generation of smoke or suppress the generation of the smoke to negligible amount while immersing in hot-dip zinc plating bath and a method for hot-dip zinc plating using the flux.SOLUTION: The flux for hot-dip zinc plating comprises ZnCland KCl as major components having 40 to 62 mol% of KCl and a balance of ZnCl. The content of KCl of 55 to 62 mol% is particularly preferred. |
