摘要 A method and apparatus for controlling rotating speed of a main shaft of a water-jet loom. The water-jet loom has multiple picking nozzles which are disposed side by side in the warp direction, at least one pump disposed, corresponding to the multiple picking nozzles, a beating-up device and a warp opening device which are driven by the main shaft of the loom as a driving source. The picking conducted by each picking nozzles is stably conducted, and production efficiency is improved. A rotating speed is set in a manner corresponding to each picking of each picking nozzles, and different rotating speeds are set with respect to picking nozzles positioned to be most close to a cloth-fell side and picking nozzles most close to the side opposite to the cloth-fell in the multiple picking nozzles. In weaving, the rotating speed of the main shaft is controlled according to the set rotating speed in correspondence to the picking nozzles executing the picking.
