PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a situation that, when an IC card is inserted in a space inside a holder, a foreign object such as a coin and a piece of paper falls and accumulates in the space and causes a trouble such as reading failure in a reader/writer with the IC card holder.SOLUTION: The IC card reader/writer comprises a holder 20 that is disposed facing a reader/writer surface 10 and spaced therefrom to form a space S for inserting an IC card, and the lower end 25 of which is fixed to a casing part. The holder includes: an upper opening 31 in which the IC card is inserted from one end thereof into the space S, with one face of the IC card facing the reader/writer surface; and two lower openings 35 and 36 that are located at both sides of the lower end of the holder and communicate the space to the outside. |
