Metal paste comprising (A) 75% to 90% by weight of at least one metal in the form of particles having a coating containing at least one organic compound, and (B) 6% to 20% by weight of organic solvent, characterized in that the metal paste further comprises (C) 2% to 10% by weight of at least one ammonium tetrafluoroborate of the formula (NHR1R2R3)+(BF4)- where the R1, R2 and R3 radicals are identical or different radicals selected from H and hydrocarbyl radicals each having ≤ 12 carbon atoms.
