The present invention relates to method of acknowledging messages and/or data acquisition of communication devices with packet transmission in wireless mesh networks, intended particularly for telemetry and automation, where each mesh network comprises at least one master communication device (C) and a plurality of slave communication devices (N) subordinated thereto, wherein the master communication device (C) searches the mesh network in such a manner assigns successively to each slave communication device (N) being found a unique virtual routing number (VRN) and stores it in the memory thereof. Said unique virtual routing number (VRN) expresses the distance of that slave communication device (N) from the master communication device (C), given by the number of routings. In a network being so arranged, the control packets of messages are transmitted from the master communication device (C) to all addressed slave communication devices (N) and back by directional flooding. After reception of an initiation massage from the master communication device (C), by means of which the master communication device initiates the data acquisition from the slave communication devices (N), relatively time-synchronized to the beginning of an initiation framework, setting of one or more bits takes place in each addressed slave communication device (N), which bits are subsequently gradually merged with the acknowledging collecting messages received from the other addressed slave communication devices (N) in the course of an acknowledgement framework being time-synchronized to the initiation framework. Subsequently, so merged acknowledging collecting messages are sent by the to the slave communication devices (N) successively in a corresponding time slot of that acknowledgement framework from the highest virtual routing number (VRN) in the direction to the master communication device (C) by means of oriented flooding of the wireless mesh network. |
