PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start a component to be started preferentially out of a plurality of components in a shorter time.SOLUTION: In start-up processing of an image forming apparatus, a CPU 511 reads out and executes an uncompressed first development program stored in a CPU-MRAM 5121 so as to initialize a control unit 50 and a UI 30 to be available. Subsequently, the CPU 511 reads out a compressed compression program stored in a SDMC 515, stores a second development program obtained by developing the compression program in a CPU-DRAM 5122, and reads out and executes the developed (uncompressed) second development program stored in the CPU-DRAM 5122, so as to further initialize an image reading unit 10, an image forming unit 20, and a transmission and reception unit 40 to be available. |
