PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head rest in which engaging teeth of a ratchet part and a lock member are meshed with each other in a good meshing state.SOLUTION: A lock mechanism for locking a head rest frame 9 at a plurality of positions in a front-rear direction with respect to a lock bracket 4 includes: a ratchet part having a plurality of engaging teeth and a plurality of recessed grooves; a lock member comprising a part to be held and an engaging part 40; an energizing means energizing the engaging part 40 toward the ratchet part and energizing toward a bottom of the recessed groove; and a long hole 62 for the engaging part, formed in the head rest frame 9 for inserting the engaging part 40 and allowing an action of the engaging part 40 upon climbing over the engaging tooth. The engaging part 40 is fixed to the recessed groove by contacting with both of the recessed groove and the long hole 62 for the engaging part. |
