PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester having a cleaning mechanism for its hairy root cutter effectively cutting off hairy root even if the machine body is inclined right and left, with the cleaning mechanism automatically removing cutoff hairy root and mud deposited onto the cutter.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester is such that: a hairy root cutter 57 removing the hairy root of root crops under conveyance by a pull conveyor 24 pulling root crops off a farm and conveying them is laid beneath the conveyance path of the pull conveyor 24. In this harvester, it is characterized in that: the hairy root cutter 57 is constituted of a guide bar 44 guiding root crops received and a rotary cutting blade 47 cutting off hairy root going in a slit 44s provided on the guide bar 44; and the rotary cutting blade 47 is set with a scraper 90 for cleaning up mud and cutoff hairy root deposited onto the cutter, projected from the slit 44s above the guide bar 44. |
