PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water closet in which sufficient cleaning effect can be obtained even if the quantity of water is small.SOLUTION: In a water closet 1, washing water is supplied from washing water supply means to a toilet bowl to wach the toilet bowl and filth is discharged by siphonage. The water closet 1 comprises: a bowl part 8 provided with a rim part 20 existing in a bowl-shaped filth receiving surface 18 and in an upper edge part; a drain trap pipeline 16 with its inlet 16a connected to the lower part of the bowl part and discharging filth; a water reservation part 22 formed near the inlet of the drain trap pipeline and below the bowl part; a rim water discharge part 24 provided on the rear side of a rim part of the bowl part and discharging washing water to the front of the bowl part to form a swirl flow C; and a rim water conduit 12 for supplying washing water from a water storage tank 4 to the bowl part through the rim water discharge part 24. A guide part 28 for making a part of washing water discharged from the rim water discharge part a downward flow flowing toward the water reservation part and inclined inward by a prescribed angle in plan view is provided on an outer side face near the rim water discharge part of a washing water conduit. |
