The method involves changing polarity of current (Iac) in an interference-free operation by use of switching elements (S1, S2, S3, S4) depending on polarity of a supply voltage (UNetz) of an alternating voltage network, where positive and negative references (IRef) are preset for the current. Protective measures are triggered during attainment of the positive and negative references. The negative reference and positive reference are decreased during a positive half wave and negative half wave of the voltage, respectively. |
