The invention relates to a winding machine and a method for winding slivers, having a winding unit on or in which the roll is formed, wherein the winding machine has at least one means for sensing the moisture content in the fibre material. The invention furthermore relates to a method for winding slivers. The invention is characterized in that the at least one means senses the moisture content of the fibre material as a variable, a regulator or a controller compares the variable with a reference value and, if said variable differs from the reference value, produces a signal, as a result of which at least one actuator for changing the operating parameters of the winding machine is actuable. |
