PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that enables efficient generation of a characteristic image representing a characteristic of an original image in an image processing device processing a plurality of sub images by a plurality of image processing circuits.SOLUTION: The image processing device according to the present invention comprises a plurality of image processing circuits including a first image processing circuit and a second image processing circuit. The first image processing circuit extracts a characteristic amount required for generation of a characteristic image from an input sub image, and writes the extracted characteristic amount into a memory in the second image processing circuit. The second image processing circuit extracts a characteristic amount required for the generation of a characteristic image from an input sub image, reads the characteristic amount of the other sub image written by the first image processing circuit from the memory in the second image processing circuit, and generates a characteristic image using these characteristic amounts. |
