PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera body capable of successfully photographing an image.SOLUTION: A camera body that is capable of being mounted with a plurality of kinds of lens barrels 3 comprises: an image taking part 22 for taking an image formed by an optical system and for outputting an image signal corresponding to the taken image; a focus detection part 21 for detecting a focus state of the optical system on the basis of the image signal; a storage part 29 for storing an open side limit value, representing a limit value on an open side of a diaphragm value of the optical system, for each kind of lens barrel 3, in a case where focus detection is performed by the focus detection part 21; an acquisition part 21 for acquiring the an open side limit value corresponding to the kind of lens barrel 3 mounted on the camera body from the storage part 29; a control part 21 for setting a diaphragm value of the optical system on the basis of the open side limit value when focus detection is performed by the focus detection part 21; and a transmission part 21 for transmitting the diaphragm value set by the control part 21 to the lens barrel 3. |
