摘要 The invention presented herein comprises a packaging for preserving fruits and vegetables, which is lightweight and made of flexible polymer materials which permit controlled ventilation, enabling the packaged fruits and/or vegetables to preserve the hydration thereof for more days, keeping the same fresh for a longer time without the need for refrigeration. The body of the packaging consists of stacked layers of polymer materials; an outer layer of polymer material having a structural function, a porous polymer material having a moisture-absorbing function, and a third polymer material having microperforations that have a moisture-retaining function. Said materials are pre-arranged in the central portion of a strip of polymer material. The strip of multilayer polymer material is pre-arranged longitudinally such as to be folded and subsequently heat-sealed, thus forming a packaging bag having a planar base. The method used for heat-sealing the central strips of polymer material comprises heat-sealing only the edges of polymer material by applying heat and pressure via cylinders having a temperature that is controlled by heat-welding machinery. Said unique heat-sealing method makes it possible only to adhere the edges of the polymer layers, leaving the central portion thereof joined together but not laminated.
