摘要 FIELD: radio engineering.SUBSTANCE: method relates to radio range measuring devices and can be used, for example, in geodesy, construction, control over mobile objects movement. Novel of the method of measuring range is generating continuous low-frequency oscillations at one point - in the measuring device, and generating in the measuring device high-frequency oscillations, frequency of which is known, while modulating with those oscillations some vibrations of an optical coherent radiation source, which performs radiation of optical oscillations in the direction of the object. Optical signal reflected from the object is received, demodulated, and an envelope of oscillations of the optical coherent radiation is identified, which then is supplied to the mixer, where the received high-frequency oscillations of the envelope are mixed with initial continuous high-frequency oscillations with frequency of the microwave generator signal, but shifted by a known low frequency conditionally called Doppler frequency generated by the meter low-frequency generator. Further, the low-frequency difference combination component is identified with subsequent measurement of phases difference of this combination component and the low-frequency generator signal. After that the high-frequency generator frequency value is changed until the phase difference of the low-frequency signals changes to 2π. Herewith the new value of the high-frequency generator frequency is fixed and the obtained difference of the high-frequency generator frequencies is used to calculate the range. Arrangement of all units of the meter at one point allows simplifying the design. Additional simplification of the design is allowed by excluding the second high-stable low-frequency generator and two highly directional high-frequency antennae. Herewith frequency stability of the remaining low-frequency generator is presented with lower requirements.EFFECT: accuracy of phase measurements of range is higher.1 cl
