PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal screw silo and a cargo transport ship provided with same which can stably lift a cargo in a polygonal cylinder shape or elliptic cylinder shape cargo hold, and minimize a residual cargo in the cargo hold after the cargo lifting.SOLUTION: A horizontal screw silo includes a horizontal conveyance device 40 which turns in an octagonal cylinder shape cargo hold. The horizontal conveyance device 40 includes a preceding side subsidiary horizontal screw unit 46 which is disposed in the vicinity of a wall surface 20d of a screw frame part 48 to scrape and take a cargo. The preceding side subsidiary horizontal screw unit 46 includes: a movable frame 47c which is arranged to be movable with respect to the screw frame part 48; and a movable screw 47 which is attached to the movable frame 47c. The preceding side subsidiary horizontal screw unit 46 is disposed so that the movable screw 47 together with a bearing part is movable along an axial direction thereof within a prescribed moving range. |
