The present invention relates to a golf ball having a surface divided by line segments of a large circle and a small circle. According to the present invention, dimples are not arranged on a spherical polyhedron produced by dividing the surface of a sphere by conventional large circles, but dimples are arranged on a spherical polyhedron produced by using coupling dividing lines formed in the shapes of line segments of a small circle connected with a spherical regular pentagon and an equator including a large circle, wherein the spherical regular pentagon uses, as sides, only line segments of a large circle around a pole formed by dividing the surface of a sphere by coupling dividing lines formed by connecting a small circle, a large circle, and the small circle. The produced spherical polyhedron is a golf ball having arranged dimples by being divided into two spherical regular pentagons including poles in the centers thereof, ten pole side spherical isosceles triangles, ten equator side spherical pentagons, and ten other equator side spherical isosceles triangles. The dimples of the golf ball are more accurately divided and arranged than conventional dimples arranged in icosahedron-dodecahedron (or icosahedron) spherical polygons divided by large circles. Accordingly, a dimple area rate can be improved, and a sphere can have a beautiful outer appearance. |
