PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of increasing the probability of shooting a best image.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an image pickup device; a recording part 18 for recording a plurality of images; an operation part 20a by which a user can perform a half-depression operation and succeeding full-depression operation; a continuous shooting control part 31 for starting a pre-continuous shooting that sequentially records an image from the image pickup device in the recording part in response to the half-depression operation, finishing the pre-continuous shooting in response to the full-depression operation, and performing a post-continuous shooting that sequentially records the image from the pickup device in the recording part in a prescribed first image recording interval; a one-stroke depression determination part 32 for determining whether a one-stroke depression operation meaning a full-depression operation performed immediately after a half-depression operation, is performed or not; a recording interval revision part 33 for automatically revising the image recording interval for the post-continuous shooting to a smaller second image recording interval from the first image recording interval if the one-stroke depression operation determination part determines that a one-stroke depression operation is performed. |
