The hood has a blower chamber for accommodating a blower unit, and a filter element (8) e.g. metal grease trap, arranged upstream of the blower unit. A vapor shield (5) is arranged in a non-operating position of the hood at a wall unit in covered manner, where the hood is mounted in an installation position. The vapor shield is led in operating position of the hood on a lower side of the wall unit. A suction chamber (9) is extended below the blower chamber, and the vapor shield is arranged in the suction chamber in the non-operating position in concealed manner. |
