PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering apparatus that is easily assembled to a vehicle body by preventing excessive rotation of a lower bracket in a state before being assembled to the vehicle body and has high support rigidity with respect to a steering column after being assembled to the vehicle body.SOLUTION: An engagement portion of a housing with a tilt pivot shaft is provided behind a rotation axis of an electric motor, a pair of projected portions projecting forward with predetermined spacing in a vertical direction is formed at a front side end of at least one of side plates of a lower bracket, a protrusion projecting more outward in a vehicle width direction than the pair of projected portions is formed between the projected portions in the housing, and the pair of projected portions and the protrusion constitute a rotation regulation mechanism for regulating rotation of the lower bracket with respect to a steering column with the tilt pivot shaft used as a rotation center in a state where an electric power steering apparatus has not yet been assembled to a vehicle body to a predetermined range. |
