The present invention relates to a system and a method to remotely control a water gate using the information provided by the meteorological administration. The system of the present invention comprises: a meteorological environment measuring unit to link with the information provided by the meteorological administration and to measure the meteorological condition of a local area to make it possible to deal with the changes of meteorological condition in the local area; a server to generate weather forecast in real time; a meteorological information processing unit to analyze the meteorological condition information received from the meteorological environment measuring unit and the real-time weather forecast received from the server; a water gate control unit to check the status of the water gate in real time and to generate water gate status information; and a mobile device to output the result of analysis received from the meteorological information processing unit and the generated water gate status information and to let the water gate control unit control the operation of the water gate based on an applied external input. The present invention aims to receive real-time weather-related data from the meteorological administration and to remotely open or close a water gate.
