PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of suppressing an increase in costs by eliminating a power source dedicated for primary transfer because there is a threat that arrangement of a power source dedicated for primary transfer leads to an increase in costs.SOLUTION: When a voltage applied by a secondary transfer power source 210 is changed for appropriate secondary transfer, voltage drop of a Zener diode is set to maintain a Zener breakdown voltage. Accordingly, even when a voltage applied by the secondary transfer power source 210 is changed for appropriate secondary transfer, potential of an intermediate transfer belt is not changed. In addition to this, primary transfer contrast is changed according to atmospheric environment, if necessary. |
