The present invention relates to an apparatus for driving a compressor and a refrigerator comprising the same. The apparatus for driving the compressor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an inverter which converts DC power into AC power, by a switching operation, and outputs the converted AC power to a motor for driving the compressor; an output current detection part detecting an output current flowing in the motor; and a control part controlling the inverter, on the basis of the detected output current. The control part calculates the ripple of a rotation speed of the motor, in case the detected output current has a maximum value, and controls to stop the motor, on the basis of the ripple of the speed. Therefore, the apparatus can stop the compressor stably. |
