PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support apparatus configured to prevent driving support from being hindered due to snow stuck on a sensor.SOLUTION: A driving support apparatus includes: a sensor which transmits a detection wave to the outside of a vehicle, and acquires object information on a distance to an object outside the vehicle on the basis of a reflection wave of the detection wave; and a processing apparatus which determines the object as an obstacle to be detected upon determination that the object has been continuously detected for a predetermined reference time or more on the basis of the object information from the sensor, and starts driving support with respect to the obstacle. When the distance to the object based on the object information from the sensor is equal to or less than a predetermined distance and snow accumulation environment is detected, the processing apparatus changes a criterion for determining the predetermined reference time continuity so that the object is less likely to be determined as an obstacle to be detected. |
