PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a piston by properly grasping inclination of a piston surface while improving safety.SOLUTION: A gas holder inside piston monitoring device 2 is configured to monitor a piston 13 of a gas holder 1 in which inner and outer sides of a gas storage space are partitioned by the piston 13 lifting/lowering in accordance with the quantity of gas stored inside. The gas holder inside piston monitoring device 2 comprises: at least three mechanical level gauges 21 installed externally by the side of the gas holder 1; a wire 23 of which one end is connected with a different detecting position within an upper surface of the piston 13 and of which another end is connected with each of the mechanical level gauges 21; and an arithmetic unit 25 which calculates the inclination of a piston surface based on detection values of the mechanical level gauges 21. The mechanical level gauge 21 detects a rising amount and a falling amount of the piston 13 at the detecting position in accordance with displacement of the wire 23. |
