The present invention relates to a ceiling type system air conditioner having image monitoring and recording functions. According to the ceiling type system air conditioner, the present invention comprises: a sensor unit sensing a surrounding situation by using at least one sensor; a camera unit capturing a peripheral image of the air conditioner; a lighting unit illuminating a peripheral area in night or in the situation with low illumination intensity; and a control unit monitoring the peripheral situation of the air conditioner by collecting and analyzing operation state information of the air conditioner and peripheral information by using the sensor unit and the camera unit and controlling a motion of the air conditioner, the lighting unit, or the camera unit based on a result of an analysis of the operation state information. |
