According to the present invention, a drum brake for a vehicle has a pair of brake shoes coupled to the external surface of a back plate to be moved outwards by a hydraulic force to generate a frictional force with a brake drum, and a return spring to return the brake shoes. More specifically, the drum brake for a vehicle comprises: a hanging groove concavely formed on the internal surface of the brake shoes; and a position alignment unit installed for a front end thereof to appear on the external surface of the back plate, left from the hanging groove when the brake shoes are moved outwards, and inserted into the hanging groove when the brake shoes return, so as to align the brake shoes in a reference position. According to the present invention, unnecessary contact between a brake shoe and a brake drum can be prevented. |
