PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrasion of a grinding member such as a grindstone, in a process of grinding a honeycomb structure, when manufacturing a ceramic filter.SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure for providing a sealing port part in a first end part 120a and a second end part 120b in the lengthwise direction, is rotatingly driven around the first axis L1, and the honeycomb structure is ground by moving a first rotary grindstone 20 or a second rotary grindstone 10 capable of controlling a distance from the first axis L1 in the direction toward the second end part 120b from the first end part 120a of the honeycomb structure, and the first rotary grindstone 20 includes a preliminary grinding process of grinding a hard part harder than the second rotary grindstone 10 and including the first end part 120a and the second end part 120b of the honeycomb structure by using the first rotary grindstone 20 and a regular grinding process of grinding the honeycomb structure by using the second rotary grindstone 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
