PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain more inexpensively an optical glass which has a refractive index (n) and an Abbe number (ν) within a desired range and high stability.SOLUTION: There is provided an optical glass which comprises, in mol% on an oxide basis, 30.0% or more and 80.0% or less of a BOcomponent and 10.0% or more and 40.0% or less of an LnOcomponent (wherein, Ln represents one or more selected from the group consisting of La, Gd, Y and Yb) and has less than 5.0% of a GdOcontent and has a refractive index (nd) of 1.65 or more and 1.80 or less and an Abbe number (νd) of 40 or more and 60 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
