The purpose of the present invention is to provide a display device and a driving method thereof, wherein the reliability of a panel can be improved by adjusting the timing of gate logic depending on a different resolution when the different resolution different from the default resolution of the display panel is detected. The display device according to the present invention comprises: a display panel; a gate-driving circuit including multiple stages, to which gate shift clocks are applied, to supply gate output signals to the gate lines of the display panel; a first control part for generating a modulated data-enable signal by modulating an input data-enable signal, which corresponds to the default resolution, in accordance with the different resolution when information on the different resolution different from the default resolution of the display panel is input; and a second control part for adjusting the number of gate logic clocks, which is the basis of the generation of the gate shift clocks, while adjusting the output timing of a reset logic pulse for resetting the stages simultaneously, based on the modulated data-enable signal. |
