The present invention relates to an automatic direction signal lamp control device using navigation linkage, and a method thereof. The automatic direction signal lamp control device automatically controls a direction signal lamp through the linkage with a navigation device to enhance a convenience of a driver, and automatically turns the direction signal lamp off when the direction of the controlled direction signal lamp and the direction of a vehicle differ to enable the driver to recognize a state of a vehicle of an adjacent vehicle. The automatic direction signal lamp control device comprises: a direction signal lamp function setting unit setting a function to operate the direction signal lamp automatically using the linkage to the navigation device; a navigation GPS location receiver which is in linkage with the navigation device to receive a navigation GPS location; a navigation direction guide information receiver which is in linkage with the navigation device to receive direction guide information; a handle steering angle detection unit which detects a handle steering angle; a control unit which controls and turns the direction control lamp on or off to correspond to the received direction guide information when the function of the direction signal lamp in linkage with the navigation device is set by the direction signal lamp function setting unit, automatically turning the direction signal lamp off when the direction of the direction signal lamp and the traveling direction of the vehicle differ; and left and right direction signal lamps controlled by the control unit to be turned on or off. |
