The present invention relates to a novel manner of administering the allergy vaccine in allergen specific immunotherapy by directly delivering the allergy vaccine slowly to subcutaneous tissue, such as by subcutaneous infusion, such as more particularly by means of an infusion pump. This allows for a more rapid up-dosing phase with fewer doses, such as 2-4, to reach maintenance phase, without having a higher incidence of immediate or late- response adverse events, which otherwise are expected.
