PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision machine tool capable of efficiently draining cooling water from a column effectively suppressing thermal displacement by thermally stabilizing the column regardless of variations of an environmental temperature change.SOLUTION: In the precision machine tool, a spindle head movable in the vertical direction is provided in a column 14 erected on a bed 10, and a temperature-controlled water storage space of cooling water is formed in the column 14. The water storage space of cooling water is partitioned into a plurality of cooling water storage sections by inclined bulkheads, and communication holes 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46 are formed on the bulkheads so as to drain cooling water from the upper cooling water storage sections to the lower cooling water storage sections at a lower position. A water drain path is formed to concentratedly drain cooling water in the lowermost cooling water storage section including first drain ports 38a and 38b to drain total amount of cooling water from the inside of the column 14. |
