PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating mixed waste plastics improving the quality of the regenerated plastics by enhancing their purity, and capable of increasing the regenerated amount by enhancing processing efficiency.SOLUTION: A method for regenerating mixed waste plastics P1 containing foamed polystyrene and other plastics includes a crushing step (step S2) for crushing the mixed waste plastics P1, a compression and dehydration step (step S6) for charging the crushed mixed waste plastics P1 to a water tank and compressing and dehydrating mixed waste plastics P2 floating on the water surface, a disintegrating step (step S7) for disintegrating the compressed and dehydrated mixed waste plastics P2, and a pneumatic separation step (step S8) for blowing air to the disintegrated mixed waste plastics P2 and separating the mixed waste plastics P2 to foamed polystyrene P4 and other plastics P3 with lighter weight than the foamed polystyrene. |
