PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal transfer printing device capable of simply adjusting a head pressure and a head position, and finely adjusting the head position.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer printing device includes: a thermal head for holding a plurality of heating elements in a main scanning direction; a platen roller disposed oppositely to the thermal head; a cam member for setting head pressure with which the thermal head and the platen roller contact from N head pressure modes; a head position adjusting member for setting a head position at which the thermal head contacts with the platen roller in a recorded medium carrying direction from a plurality of head position modes; and a motor for driving a first speed reducing mechanism driving the cam member and the second speed reducing mechanism driving the head position adjusting member. A rate of a speed reducing ratio of the second speed reducing mechanism and a speed reducing ratio of the first speed reducing mechanism is made to be 1:N or an integral multiple of N. |
