PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of precisely establishing synchronization with a small size circuit at a low cost even under multipath fading circumstances.SOLUTION: The transmitter transmits a low speed unique word U1 having transmission speed lower than that of data D1; a unique word U2 having transmission speed identical to that of the data D1; and a data D1. The receiver detects the low speed unique word U1 from the received signals and estimates an existing range of the unique word U2 based on the detection result. The receiver establishes the symbol synchronization and the frame synchronization based on a correlation value between the signals within a prediction range A1 and the known unique word U2. Since the existing range of the unique word U2 is estimated based on the low speed unique word U1 which is subjected to little influence of the multipath fading, the detection accuracy of the unique word U2 is increased. Therefore, the synchronization establishment accuracy is increased by establishing the synchronization based on the signals within the prediction range A1. Also, a simple processing is required for increasing the synchronization establishment accuracy. |
