Provided is a flame retardant material which is capable of imparting flame retardancy to an article, such as fabric or paper, through its application onto the article or impregnation of the article therewith, is capable of exhibiting high flame retardancy, provides a soft film, and is excellent in transparency. Also provided is a flame retardant film formed from such flame retardant material. Also provided is a flame retardant article including such flame retardant film. Also provided is a method of producing such flame retardant article. The flame retardant material includes: a resin component; a flame retardant filler; and a dispersing aid for dispersing the flame retardant filler, in which the flame retardant filler has an average particle diameter of from 5 nm to 200 nm. |
