PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system capable of suppressing the occurrence of an unknown completion state showing that it is unclear whether settlement processing using a recording medium in a plurality of settlement terminals is completed.SOLUTION: When it is determined that no update completion information is received after transmitting update information, unknown completion information is generated and transmitted to a server 30. When the server 30 accumulates unknown completion information from respective terminals 20 and generates accumulation information, the accumulation information is respectively transmitted to the respective settlement terminals 20 to be stored in a memory 22. When it is not determined that update is completed on the basis of received medium information about an IC card C and the unknown completion information included in the accumulation information in the case where information of the IC card C specified from the received medium information is included in the accumulation information stored in the memory 22, information for completing update on the basis of the unknown completion information to which the memory 22 corresponds is generated and transmitted to the IC card C. |
