An exoskeleton disposed on a wearer's hand 102 to provide grip reinforcement. First and second planar elements are disposed against the fingers. By aligning first apertures of a first planar flexible element with second apertures of a second planar flexible element, a toothed flexible element is then caused to ratchetedly engage the first and second planar flexible elements. This is caused by bending the fingers. The ratchet element once engaged with the apertures resists opening of the hand until the user moves their hand away from the grasped object, allowing the ratchet element to disengage, and the user to open their hand. |
