A hair fastener 22 that has an elastic band (24 figure 4) with opposite ends (26, 28 figure 4) positioned adjacent each other thus in the form of a closed loop, a first coupler for fixedly connecting the opposite ends together, a layer of fabric (30 figure 4) enveloping the elastic band and said first coupler (32 figure 6b), and a second coupler 34 for connecting the opposite ends. The second coupler encases region of the fabric layer enveloping the first coupler. The first coupler may be an adhesive. The second coupler may be a molded thermoplastic elastomer. Also disclosed is a method of producing the hair fastener. |
