PURPOSE:To drastically improve the efficiency in removing particulates by passing a waste gas contg. the particulates through a catalyst filter and separating the waste gas current into the current parallel to the gas direction and the current flowing in the pores of a thin wall. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst is held on a wire net or a metallic sheet 3 having many pores of >=30mu equivalent diameter of a sheet constituting a three- dimensional catalytic structure having many through-holes in the gas flow direction in its thickness direction. When a gas contg. particulates is passed through the through-hole of the catalyst, the particulate flows in the through-hole or in the pore. Consequently, the chances of the physical contact of the particulate with the catalyst are increased, the particulate removal rate is drastically enhanced, and the particulates are stably oxidized and removed over a long period. |
