Disclosed are a sound source tracking method using a coordinate conversion method and a microphone array with a tetrahedron shape and a system thereof. The sound source tracking method includes the steps of: collecting sound data of a frame unit from multiple microphones; enabling the microphone array with the tetrahedron shape composed of the multiple microphones to track a time delay difference between the microphones on each virtual surface; generating a sound source candidate for each virtual surface of the microphone array based on the time delay difference; converting the coordinate values of the sound source candidate on each virtual surface onto a reference coordinate system of any one reference surface among the multiple virtual surfaces of the microphone array; comparing the coordinate values regarding each virtual surface with the reference surface in the reference coordinate system; and tracking a direction angle and an altitude angle regarding the sound source of the sound data based on the sound source candidates intersecting in an intersection area of the coordinate values regarding each virtual surface and the reference surface. |
