The present invention relates to a location-based prize winning method, and more specifically, to a location-based prize winning method which allows a user to win a prize located in the vicinity of the user to target users having a high probability of attracting customers. According to the present invention, the location-based prize winning method comprises: a step of using location information of users to display a location of a prize and a location of each user to a portable terminal from a server; a step where the server detects the location of the user closest to the location of the prize and changes the detected user as an owner of the prize to display the user; a step where the server changes a different user as an owner if the location of the different user is detected within a predetermined touch distance around the location of the owner to display the different user; and a step of determining the user displayed as an owner at a predetermined time as a winner of the prize. Therefore, according to the present invention, a prize event can be carried out around the location of the user to improve a probability of leading to actual customer attraction. The user is given continuous fun to provide an environment where the user can be absorbed in the event.
