A description is given of a method, wherein:
- a tensile test is conducted on an overpressure safeguard which comprises a seating and a sealing cover thereon on which a closing force is exerted,
- a hoisting frame is placed near the overpressure safeguard, which hoisting frame is provided with a hoisting rope which is coupled to the cover at a specific location, and
- a force measurement device incorporated in the hoisting rope is used to determine the tensile force at the point in time when the cover becomes detached from the seating and/or is clear of the seating, which measured tensile force(s) comprise(s) a measure of, respectively, the opening pressure and the pressure at maximum blow-off capacity of the overpressure safeguard. |
