This electronic device is provided with an electrostatic switch (30), a determining means (52), and a threshold-changing means (53). The electrostatic switch detects capacitance changes that accompany user input via an input body (F). If the capacitance (C) detected by the electrostatic switch exceeds a threshold (Th), the determining means determines that user input has been provided via the input body. For a prescribed duration (TA) after the determining means has determined that user input has been provided, the threshold-changing means changes the threshold used by the determining means from a normal first threshold (Tmin) to a second threshold (Taj) that is greater than or equal to said first threshold. |
