PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering support beam capable of supporting a steering column at a desired position without lowering support rigidity.SOLUTION: A part of upper sides of a front side half body 15 and a rear side half body 16 constituting a column support part 6 is projected upward to form a projection 7 at the column support part 6, a part of lower sides of the front side half body 15 and the rear side half body 16 is notched upward to form a notched recess 8 at a lower part of the projection 7 of the column support part 6, a stiffening member 20 forming an approximate box shape in which a part of a bottom part and front and rear wall parts 20f, 20r is opened along the notched recess 8 is arranged in the column support part 6, the front wall part 20f of the stiffening member 20 is joined to the front side half body 15, rear wall part 20r of the stiffening member 20 is joined to the rear side half body 16, and a column bracket 30 is provided inside the notched recess 8. |
